Siemens Reyrolle 7SR1004 Numerical Relay Technical Details:
Current Inputs: 4
Voltage Inputs : 3
Binary Inputs: 9
Binary Outputs: 6
LEDs: 10
Four overcurrent elements are provided in the 7SR1004 relay. 50-1, 50-2, (50-3 & 50-4 – 7SR1004) Each overcurrent element (50-n) has independent settings. 50-n Setting for pick-up current and 50-n Delay follower time delay. The instantaneous elements have a transient free operation. Where directional elements are present the direction of operation can be set using 50-n Dir. Control setting. Directional logic is provided independently for each 50-n element, e.g. giving the option of using two elements set to forward and two elements set to reverse.
Four under/over frequency elements are provided in the 7SR1004 relay. The relay utilizes fundamental voltage measurement values for this function. The frequency calculation is based on the highest input voltage derived from the voltage selection algorithm. The relay utilizes fundamental frequency RMS voltage for this function. All under/over frequency elements have a common setting to measure phase to phase (Ph-Ph) or phase to neutral (Ph-N) voltage using the Frequency Input mode setting. Frequency elements are blocked if all phase voltages fall below the 81 U/V Guard setting. The sense of the element (under-frequency or over-frequency) is set by the 81-n Operation setting.

Voltage | 220 V |
Usage/Application | Industrial |
Coil Type | Latching |
Country of Origin | Made in India |
The 7PG23 High Impedance Protection unit protection principle ensures sensitive, high speed operation for internal faults and guaranteed stability during external faults. The stability of the scheme depends upon the operate voltage setting being greater than the maximum voltage that can appear across the relay under a through fault condition. To ensure stability a setting calculation is required for every application to select the protection operate voltage and current settings.
A combination of stabilizing resistors, setting resistors and nonlinear voltage limiting resistors may be required to be connected into the high impedance circuit. The software tool simplifies the calculation and specification process and provides a method for recording the data, saving the engineer time. The High Impedance Software tool has been developed as part of the Reyrolle software suite and is free to download from the website.
The 7PG23 electro-mechanical single phase circulating current protection is used to detect earth faults in high impedance protection schemes. The relay is typically applied used in transformer protection schemes. One relay per phase can be applied to detect both phase and earth faults e.g. on reactors and stator windings of large machines.
The relay is a voltage operating device and has a user selectable operate voltage setting. The relay can be used in conjunction with an external shunt setting resistor where a higher operate current is required. An integral non-linear resistor limits over-voltages occurring during system faults. Operation flag indicator. Relays are housed in size E3 cases.

Reyrolle 7PJ13
The 7PJ13 Trip Circuit Supervision Relay is an electronic-circuit based relay. The relay is a member of Siemens Reyrolle protection devices product family. It is used to monitor and supervise the integrity of a circuit-breaker’s trip coil and other wiring circuits of low-voltage and medium-voltage networks.
Features
The 7PJ13 is connected with a circuit-breaker to monitor the trip circuit positions (make or break). The 7PJ13 generates a trip circuit failure alarm, either if the trip circuit supply is disconnected or if the trip circuit connection is changed to an open circuit. Trip circuit continuity is measured by supplying the supervision current of 0.7 mA to 1.5 mA and sensing the flow of current with two optocouplers. The circuit-breaker contact indicates the status of the relay whether the circuit-breaker is in a make position or a break position.
The features of the Trip Circuit Supervision Relay are:
- A universal auxiliary voltage range with very low burden (i.e.)
– AC 24 V to AC 240 V/DC 24 V to DC 240 V
– AC 110 V to AC 240 V/DC 110 V 20 DC 240 V
at less than 4 W. - A universal supervision voltage range (i.e.) DC 24 V to DC 240 V.
- A compact design 96 mm x 48 mm (Width x Height)
- Fitted with flush-mounting
- Continuous supervision of trip circuit in pre-closed, post-closed condition, and latched trip condition.
- Detects faults such as auxiliary voltage loss and circuit breakage in supervised circuits.
- Indicates operational status by a single LED with dual color.
- The relay complies with IEC 60255 standards.
Functions
The trip circuit supervision relay is used in the following field applications:
- The relay is used for monitoring activities. The trip circuit wiring is supervised from the positive supply to the negative supply when the circuit-breaker is in a make position or a break position.
- The relay is used for detecting and generating a circuit-breaker alarm, if the trip circuit supply has failed.
- The relay is used to generate an alarm if the trip signal is received but the circuit breaker fails to operate.
- The binary outputs can be wired on to a numerical protection relay to indicate the faulted circuit to remote SCADA.

Usage/Application | FAST CLEARANCE OF ARCING FAULTS ON BUSBARS & WITHIN METAL CLAD SWITCHGEAR & ASSOCIATED CABLE BOXES. |
Device Short Name | REYROLLE - LINEAR FIBRE OPTIC ARC FAULT SENSOR |
Reyrolle 7XG31
Arc fault protection is a relatively new technique employed for the fast clearance of arcing faults on busbars & within metal clad switchgear & associated cable boxes.
Features
The arc is detected using an optical sensor & the signal input to a protection device which also monitors the load current on the system. Conventional current based protection techniques are at times challenged by the nature of arcing faults, and can result in slow protection clearance times. Slow protection clearance times increase the risk to nearby personnel and increase the degree of damage to plant and equipment. By employing an optical detection technique, arc fault protection results in fast clearance of arcing faults.
When an arc fault start current is coincident with a signal from the optical sensor a trip command is output. An arc trip only signal can be achieved within 10ms which can be considerably faster than that provided by a traditional IDMT overcurrent relay. This is because the onset of an arcing fault can occur at relatively low fault currents. Arguably the greatest risk of arc fault damage exists at the CB cable termination & in the CB chamber itself due to the slow clearance times of the IDMT feeder protection.
The ReyArc range of protection devices provide multiple arc fault protection schemes depending on your protection system requirements:
ReyArc Arc Protection range:
7XG3120 Arc Fault Monitor Relay, with 2 or 3 arc point sensor inputs, 2 separate tripping- duty outputs.
7XG3123 ARC Fault Interface Module, with 1 or 2 arc point sensor inputs, high-speed binary output to interface with protection relay binary input.
7XG3124 Arc Fault Monitor, with IEC 61850 and up to 16 arc sensor inputs, 2 tripping-duty outputs.
7XG3127 Arc Fault Monitor, with 4 arc point sensor Inputs and 1 linear sensor input, 2 separate tripping zones with 4 output tripping contact and 1 supervision contact.
7XG3130 High-Speed Arc Sensor, with 1 or 2 optical point sensors per unit.
7XG3140 High-Speed Linear Arc Sensor, with optional sensor length up to 40 metres
Function
The 7XG3130 - RA30 is an optical sensor that responds to the flash of light emitted during the incidence of an arcing fault. Onset of the light flash & detection by the RA30 occurs in a few milli-seconds. When an arc is detected, the resistance presented by the RA30 drops to a level where the current flow increases to approximately 20mA. This increased current flow is instantaneously detected by the 7XG3120 - RA20 and the trip output contacts close. Also, this increased current flow is detected by the 7XG3123 – RA23 module which responds in < 1 ms to close a solid-state contact to activate the arc fault input on the protection relay. The 7XG3127 – RA27 may be configured to suit a wide range of arc flash monitoring applications.
